Atenolol & Amlodipine
Atamo contains combination of Atenolol and Amlodipine. Atenolol is a cardioselective beta blocker. Amlodipine is a dihydropyridine calcium-channel blocker that blocks the transmembrane influx of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle. Combination of these two drugs results in additive antihypertensive action. It is used for a number of conditions including hypertension, angina, long QT syndrome, acute myocardial infarction, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular tachycardia, and the symptoms of alcohol withdrawal.
