Clomifene Citrate
Clomfert contains Clomifene. It is a selective estrogen receptor modulator which acts by stimulating the production of gonadotropin releasing hormone. It triggers the brain’s pituitary gland to secrete an increased amount of follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) & Luteinizing Hormone( LH). This action stimulates the growth of the ovarian follicle and thus initiates ovulation. Thus Clomfert is the best initial treatment for the majority of women whose infertility is associated with Ovulatory dysfunction. Also Clomfert can be used to treat Low Sperm Counts.
