Mefenamic acid + Paracetamol
Mefenamic acid has analgesic, anti-inflammatory & antipyretic action. It acts by inhibiting prostaglandin (PGs) synthesis & their release at the site of injury. Paracetamol has analgesic & antipyretic action. It is more active on cyclo-oxygenase enzyme in brain. Peripherally it is a poor inhibitor of prostaglandin synthesis. Thus raises the pain threshold & produces analgesic effect & lowers fever by direct action on the thermoregulatory centre in the Hypothalamus & block the effects of endogenous pyrogen. Combination is indicated in Muscular aches , Primary Dysmenorrhoea ,Headaches ,Acute gout ,Dental pain, Cervical pain, Rheumatoid arthritis & post traumatic pain.
Mefenamic acid 50 mg, Paracetamol 125 mg Suspension.
Mefenamic acid 100 mg, Paracetamol 250 mg Suspension
Mefenamic acid 500 mg & Paracetamol 325 mg Tablets
