Sucralfate
Sukal contains Sucralfate which is aluminium salt of Sulfated Sucrose. It forms complex with proteineous exudates in the ulcer & adheres to damaged ulcer as gel lining & protects against acids & enzymes so that healing can occur. It serves as a physical barrier while adhered to the ulcer or erosion & thus protects the ulcer from pepsin & bile acids; it also stimulates local production of prostaglandins & binding to epidermal growth factor (which favors mucosal repair). It is indicated in Duodenal ulcers, Gastric ulcers, Chronic Gastritis & Bile reflux.
Sucralfate 1 gm per 10 ml Suspension
